The Kenya Embassy Madrid successfully participated in this year’s annual international Christmas Fair of Cultures that was held from 14th to 23rd December 2018 at the Matadero Madrid. The Mission was among the over 71 Embassies and International Organizations along with Associations to participate in this year’s edition that attracted over 130,000 visitors -approximately 13,000 visitors per day.
H.E the Mayor of Madrid Manuela Carmena officially opened the highly anticipated Fair on 14th December 2018. During the inauguration the Kenya Commercial Bank Wellness Choir performed for the Mayor along with the more than fifty-five (55) Ambassadors and Diplomatic representatives accredited to Spain.
The Embassy in collaboration with the Kenyan Diaspora displayed artefacts from Kenya as well as participating in a cultural activity that introduced “KATI” to the Spanish people.
